Teen Players – Legally Blonde Jr.
Instructors: 6th Street Teaching Artists
July 18-August 6, 2022
Harvard’s beloved blonde takes the stage by glittery pink storm in this fun and upbeat adaptation of the hit film and award-winning Broadway musical.
Based on the award-winning Broadway musical and the smash hit motion picture, Legally Blonde, The Musical JR. is a fabulously fun journey of self-empowerment and expanding horizons. The show’s instantly recognizable songs are filled with humor, wit and sass — leaving cast members and audiences alike seeing pink! Legally Blonde JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle’s boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she’s not “serious” enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren’t mutually exclusive. As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all.

As the vaccine is now approved for children ages 5 and up, we have updated our vaccination policy to require vaccination for participation in our programs for those ages 5 and up. If people are unable to be vaccinated due to medical conditions or sincerely held religious beliefs, they will have to provide us with a negative covid test. This would be every 2 days for performance based camps and once a week for classes that meet once or twice a week.
At this time you must be prepared to wear masks throughout the performance and intermission. We hope this is not an inconvenience but should you disagree with our cautious approach, we can issue you a credit, which can be used for future performance tickets when the crisis has abated, or a refund.
We hope you understand that the health and well being of everyone that works or visits the theater is our greatest priority and your support during these times would be extremely appreciated.
