Join 6th Street’s Technical Director, Martin Gilbertson and Assistant Technical Director, Luca Catanzaro, to understand the methods, materials, and techniques of realizing the physical production on the stage, including scenery, properties, lighting, and sound. This class gives practical hands-on experience in stagecraft and culminates in the creation of the sets and props for 6th Street’s Summer Camp performance of Madagascar Jr. Our young theater techs will be proud to see their handy work featured this summer and add it to their budding portfolios!
In-person class will follow current Covid regulations at the time
Tuition $300 (15 student maximum)
Payment Plan: $100 deposit with final payment due one week prior to rehearsal start
Refund Policy: Tuition will be refunded in full minus a $35 administrative fee if received in writing two weeks prior to the start of rehearsal. Cancellations received in writing with less than two weeks’ notice will receive a 50% discount unless the spot can be filled; in which case tuition will be refunded in full minus the $35 administrative fee.
All 6th Street Playhouse staff and volunteers are FULLY vaccinated. For the safety of our staff and students, we will be requiring masks at all times indoors, and weather permitting, classes for those under the age of 12 will be outdoors.
We are asking that students over the age of 12 provide proof of vaccination before their first class. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however, we strongly believe these actions will be best to ensure the safety of all on our stages.Two weeks prior to your first class you will receive a welcome email with all the information you need to be prepared for a great first day of class.
