Could These Kids BEE Any Cuter?
Miss Honey is pretty sweet…but we think our Preschool Players are even sweeter! And in this class, they’ll get the chance to show off how sweet they are by preparing their own short play inspired by Matilda the Musical. Students will be introduced to performance fundamentals like singing and dancing, as well as theater games that will foster their creativity and encourage teamwork. By the end of their nine week experience, they will be ready to put on their adorable costumes and perform together, serving as the pre-show entertainment for the Youth Players production of Matilda Jr. Don’t let the evil Miss Trunchbull get in your way…sign-up, and come help Matilda save the day!
About the Show: Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence… and special powers! She’s unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda’s school life isn’t completely smooth sailing, however – the school’s mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don’t abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils’ saving grace!
