Step Up Your Game!
Wanna become a triple-threat? The best musical theater performers are masters of acting, singing, and dancing (in fact, they frequently have to do all three at the same time!). Problem is, if you want to get better at any of these skills, it can be hard to know where to start…do you take a jazz dance class, or a tap class? Who do you go to for singing help? Or acting coaching? What if you wanted to get better at ALL THREE at the same time?
That’s where the Kinky Boots Masterclass comes in. This brand new, two-week intensive will cover a broad range of musical theater skills, helping you to truly elevate your next performance. Set to the rockin’ score of Cyndi Lauper’s Broadway hit Kinky Boots, the class will teach students vital terms and concepts that all theater artists should know, and then help them turn that knowledge into acting, singing, and dancing talent. The experience will culminate in a final showcase where teens can show off their newfound expertise to family and friends. Get ready to rock your next audition and land more roles with the Kinky Boots Masterclass!
About Kinky Boots: Inspired by true events, Kinky Boots is the story of a young businessman desperately trying to save the near-bankrupt gentlemen’s shoe factory he suddenly, and reluctantly, inherited. A chance encounter with a drag diva in need of a boot repair unites the two in a business venture that takes them from a fading industrial town in England to the glamorous catwalks of Milan. With energetic music from pop star Cyndi Lauper, Kinky Boots won 2 Tony Awards in 2012 for Best Musical and Best Original Score, as well as the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical.
