Youth Players – Musical Theater Song & Dance!

Grades 3 – 6
Instructors: Malia Abayon & Julianne Bradbury

January 18 – February 22
4:00 – 5:30pm

Lemme SING! Lemme DANCE!!!

In the group class, students will learn the fundamentals of joining their voice with movement. Set to well known musicals, like Hamilton and Encanto, this class will incorporate the style of dance typically seen on Broadway, while exploring the use of voice during movement. Students will learn healthy habits for vocal and physical warm ups as well as skills for character development through song and dance. The class is an excellent way to warm up for the Spring productions of Jungle Book KIDS!

Malia Abayon studied musical theater dance at Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center in New York City. Malia performed in 6th Street’s production of Cabaret. She also co-directed 101 Dalmatian KIDS last fall. She was most recently spotted striking a Hamilton pose in the Youth Players class!

Julianne Bradbury, recently seen in 6th Street’s production of 9 to 5 The Musical as Judy Bernly and Assistant Director for the Studio’s Teen production of The Addams Family. She has most recently been heard teaching Teen Players to harmonize Christmas carols!
