Teen Players: The Addams Family

Teen Fall Production

Celebrate the wackiness in every family with our best-selling Broadway musical adapted for middle school-age performers! Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family whom her parents have never met.

She confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia.

Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

Teen Players: Stagecraft 2023

6th Street Studio believes kids should play a role in all aspects of theater! This spring we are offering students the opportunity to once again play an important role in producing our Teen Player’s Spring show, Footloose: Youth Edition. Students will learn the methods, materials, and techniques of realizing a physical production on stage. Scenery, props, lighting, sound—everything that sets the scene and creates the world.

Playing is not just for actors! In this class students will design elements of our teen production, getting practical, hands-on experience and act as the Run Crew for each of the live shows. Teen Players: Footloose – Youth Edition

One of the most explosive movie musicals in recent memory bursts onto the live stage with exhilarating results. When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, he is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new high school.

What he isn’t prepared for are the rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher, determined to exercise the control over the town’s youth that he cannot command in his own home.

When the reverend’s rebellious daughter sets her sights on Ren, her roughneck boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren’s reputation, with many of the locals eager to believe the worst about the new kid.
