6th Street Studio is seeking submissions from theatre students aged 18 and younger to join the 2026-2027 Studio Company, with the opportunity to participate in one of three mainstage shows at 6th Street Playhouse. In-person auditions will take place on Monday, March 30 from 4-6pm. For more information and full submission instructions, please see below.

What is Studio Company?

6th Street Studio Company is a training program designed for talented and motivated theatre students aged 18 and younger. Students in the 2026-2027 Studio Company will attend monthly classes taught by experienced artists and oriented toward providing individual attention. Throughout the year, students will have the opportunity to supplement their acting, singing, and dancing skills, culminating in an end-of-year recital. Some (but not all) Studio Company students will also receive offers to participate in the following mainstage shows: South Pacific, Meet Me in St. Louis, and H.M.S. Pinafore.

How much does it cost to participate?

There will be a one-time $600 fee for those who accept a slot in the 2026-2027 Studio Company. This fee will cover the cost of monthly meetings, classes, the end-of-year recital, and any rehearsals associated with said recital. Studio Company members who are also cast in a mainstage production will be eligible to submit for volunteer reimbursement (up to $595) after that show’s closing performance.

Audition Materials

Auditions should consist of the following:

• Monologue: a 1-2 minute monologue of your choice
• Song: a 32 bar musical cut of your choice to be performed either with live or pre-recorded accompaniment – NOT A CAPPELLA!
• There will be NO dance call.

All actors wishing to be considered for the Studio Company MUST audition in-person on March 30th. At this time, we are not accepting virtual submissions.
