A Night with Janis Joplin is a high-octane musical celebration of one of rock ’n’ roll’s most iconic and influential voices. Rather than a traditional biography, the show unfolds as an electrifying concert experience, with Janis taking the audience on a journey through the music that inspired her and the songs that made her a legend. Backed by a powerhouse band and soulful backup singers, the production features unforgettable hits including “Piece of My Heart,” “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Cry Baby,” “Summertime,” and “Mercedes Benz,” capturing the raw emotion, vulnerability, and explosive energy that defined her sound.
Blending storytelling with show-stopping musical numbers, the production pays tribute not only to Janis Joplin, but also to the blues and soul artists who influenced her, including Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Bessie Smith, and Nina Simone. The result is a thrilling, immersive theatrical concert that brings audiences to their feet and celebrates the passion, rebellion, and heart of a generation-defining artist.
