Backed by a powerhouse band and soulful backup singers, the production features unforgettable hits including “Piece of My Heart,” “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Cry Baby,” “Summertime,” and “Mercedes Benz,” capturing the raw emotion, vulnerability, and explosive energy that defined her sound.
Blending storytelling with show-stopping musical numbers, the production pays tribute not only to Janis Joplin, but also to the blues and soul artists who influenced her, including Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Bessie Smith, and Nina Simone.
