Artful Dodger and his nifty squad of pickpockets could use a little help getting by…it’s a good thing the Tiny Players are here to help! Students will start by participating in fun exercises that will have them learning new singing, dancing, and character creation skills, all the while growing their confidence and making them new friends. Then, in the second half of the session, Tiny Players will put their new skills to use as they prepare a cheeky showcase based around the music and choreography of Oliver Jr. It’s a fine life being a part of Dodger’s Gang…make sure your little one doesn’t miss their chance!
About Oliver Jr: The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin.
When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit, the benevolent victim, Mr. Brownlow takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Oliver’s chances of discovering the true love of a family.
Tuition: $350 (30 student maximum)
Payment Plan: If you do not want to pay the full balance up front, you may elect to pay a $100 deposit to hold your spot in the class. The remaining balance will be due before the first class session begins.
Rehearsal Dates: Wed, Aug 28 - Oct 30, 2024 @ 3:15pm - 4:15pm
Tech Rehearsal: Fri, Nov 1 @ 3:15pm - 6:15pm
Performances: Sat - Sun, Nov 2 - 3 @ 1pm
Performance Tickets: $20 Adults, $15 Youth 3 - 17, under 2 is free.
Attendance and Conflicts: Attending all rehearsals is vitally important to the outcome of this show. Even a single absence could performance preparedness. We ask that students be committed to attend all rehearsals, unless they are sick. Attendance is mandatory for tech week and performances.
Refund Policy: Tuition will be refunded in full minus a $35 administrative fee if received in writing two weeks prior to the start of rehearsal. Cancellations received in writing with less than two weeks notice will receive a 50% discount unless the spot can be filled; in which case tuition will be refunded in full minus the $35 administrative fee. No refunds will be made once class begins.
Mask & Vaccine Policies
Masks are strongly recommended, but not required. During rehearsals, and especially as we get closer to performances, ANY illness may result in the inability to participate in rehearsal and/or performances. If your child has cold symptoms, nausea or a fever we ask you to keep them home.
If your child becomes ill with COVID and is asymptomatic: isolation is NOT REQUIRED before returning to class.
If your child becomes ill with COVID and develops symptoms: an isolation period of at least 24 hours is required. Your child may return to class after 24 hours if they no longer have a fever (without the use of fever-reducing medications) and if their symptoms are improving.
We currently do not require your child to be vaccinated to participate.
Attending Performances: As of September 13, 2022, proof of vaccination for Covid-19 is no longer required. Masks continue to be highly recommended, but not required to attend.
Scholarships: If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please complete the registration form and pay the deposit to hold your slot in the class. We will contact you with the result of your application before class begins. If you choose NOT to enroll, regardless of the outcome of your application, your deposit (minus a $35 administrative fee) will be returned to you.
