Experience Life Behind the Scenes!
Summer Stagecraft is back and better than ever! In this EXPANDED 3 week intensive, students will learn about the many behind-the-scenes elements that go into putting on a show – scenery, props, lighting, sound, stage management, costumes, and more! And it doesn’t stop there: students will also gain hands-on experience by helping to design these very elements of our youth production, Wonder! A Musical Adventure, and by acting as the Run Crew for each of their live shows. Stagecraft is for the Lego builders, the class doodlers, the incredible playlist-makers, and anyone who’s ever wanted to dive deeper into backstage life!
About Wonder!: While sitting on the riverbank one golden afternoon, a young girl named Alice spots something she can hardly believe: a white rabbit dressed in a suit and holding a pocketwatch. Following this mysterious creature down a rabbit hole leads her to a realm that defies description, filled with strange elixirs, curious characters, and anthropomorphic animals. Scared and lost, Alice must ultimately outsmart the inhabitants of Wonderland in order to make it back home in time for tea.
*In the event of high demand for Wonder!, the show will be double cast and the run extended by two shows.
